• Our Plus Program is the most efficient way for serious students to significantly improve their written and spoken Spanish. As a Plus student you receive the undivided attention of our professonal, experienced teaching staff in a program designed especially for you. We monitor your progress and adjust classes to focus on your individual strengths and weaknesses. You will take a balanced mix of classes: grammar, conversation, culture, with some diversion, dancing or cooking. We design your program with classes that complement each other, so you learn the maximum amount in your three weeks of study

The Details

Private Classes Taught By Experienced Professionals: There is no quicker way to learn than in private classes.  You receive one hundred percent of the attention of our experienced teachers.  Our professors are here to guide you and to answer your questions.  They have many years experience teaching non-native speakers.  If you have a problem with a particular aspect of learning Spanish, we will know how to solve it.

Individualized Program of Study Designed Specifically for You: Because every student is different, we construct each Plus Program from scratch.  If you feel your ears burning after your first day of classes, it will be because we are talking about you in order to adjust our teaching to meet your needs.  We continue to monitor your progress throughout the three week program so as to focus on your particular strengths and weaknesses.  For example, some students require more time to practice pronunciation than others, while other students are confused by certain aspects of Spanish grammar.  We will help you learn as efficiently as possible.

A Balanced Mixture of Hard Work and Fun: There is no escaping the fact that learning another language takes hard work.  The Plus Program is built on a solid base of grammar, combined with practical Spanish conversation, culture, and a single daily class of either salsa dancing or Mexican cooking.  We find that the cooking or dancing classes, which are the only classes taken in a group, come as a welcome diversion for most students.  By taking the time to relax, our students are able to apply themselves more effectively in their individual classes.  We also offer weekend excursions to local places of interest and social events in the evenings.   

 A student in the Plus Program typically takes the following classes daily (Monday to Friday):

Two Hours of Grammar (private).  We use our own teaching materials that we have developed over the past three years.  Let´s just say that we help you to make learning grammar as painless as possible.

Two Hours of Conversation (private).  Our students learn practical, contemporary  Spanish.  We want our students to be able to hold a conversation with someone other than their professors.  The more advanced students will usually discuss history, politics or culture.

One Hour of a Guided Visit to a Museum, Craft Market or Other Local Attraction (private).  This is a great way to learn about local customs and to put your Spanish to the test.    

One Hour of Salsa Dancing or Mexican Cooking (group).  What can we say?     These classes are fun!

A Coordinated Program

• The classes in the Plus Program compliment each other. You will get a chance to practice grammar that you have just learned in your conversation classes. We work to make sure that the level of Spanish is the same in each class and that your classes reinforce each other. This maximizes the rate at which you learn.

Contemporary, Practical Spanish

• We know that our students are interested in holding real conversations with real people. The vast majority of our materials have been written by our own teaching staff, so you will learn real Spanish. As a beginner, your conversation classes will prepare you to talk in everyday situations. As an advanced student, your culture classes will address issues of general interest—politics, history and culture. Given sufficient notice, we can also arrange classes related to your particular professional or other interests--medicine, architecture, pre-Hispanic art, etc.
